Important Reminder - There are minimum age restrictions for dogs taking part in Agility as detailed in the Club Rules which are: Dogs under the age of 12 months are not permitted to jump or weave during training. Unsupervised training of dogs under 12 months old is not permitted whatsoever. Members are responsible for advising Trainers of the age of their dogs if under the age of 15 months so that training can be adjusted accordingly.

UPDATED - Starter League and Great Western League

Captains for this winters Leagues are: Sarah Miles Griffiths for the Starter League and Les Turner for the Great Western League. Teams are currently small so more participants will be welcome!

The next training sessions are on 24th and 31st October at 2 pm.

Fixtures for the Starters League:

8th November, away vsTuffley.

24th January, home vs South Cotswold -10.00 am start

21st February, home vs Tuffley - 10.00 for 11.00 am start

Practice sessions - 2nd January and 16th January from 13.00 for 2 hours (location TBC)

Fixtures for the Great Western League:

15th November, at home, vs Barkaway - 10.00am for 11.00 start

22nd November, away, vs Worcester.

6th December, at home, vs Worcester - 10.00am for 11.00 start.

Criteria for Starters League: grade 1 or 2, with grade 3 dogs also but in their first session who havent won out by September (tbc) only

Criteria for Great Western League: grade 3 dogs in second or greater seasons, or have won out of g3 in their first season by September, or grade 4 or higher. Dogs which have champion accreditation/points not allowed

Starter League is based on an introduction to competition with enjoyment being the goal. Great Western League is competitive by its nature.

Agility GV 80.5 points Worcester 55.5 points, a win for GV - placings for GV team in the top 4, Kayleigh & Febee 1st Alison & Flash 3rd
Jumping GV 68 points Worcester 68 points this was a draw - placings for GV team in the top 4 Kayleigh & Febee 2nd, Alison & Flash 3rd
Worcester won the relay & 16points
Overall match result GV 148.5 Worcester139.5 a match win for GV

Well done team - another good team performance and grinding out another win! One more match to go sometime in the new year. Well done those of you with placings today. Thanks to Lee Amos for judging & giving us some lovely courses to run; Sarah Milner for doing the hot food for all of us (everyone said how lovely it was); thanks to Sue Paul for timing, Hilary Thompson for scoring, Sue O'neill for scriming, Christopher Jackson for helping me first thing this morning. We could not run these matches without you guys. Thank you again team & everyone that has helped (if i have forgotten anyone, I apologise!).        Les Turner

NEW - Agility classes returning after Christmas

Pre-paid classes on Saturdays return to training on 23rd January.

Marie-Louise Parkers pay-on-the-day classes on Tuesdays return to training on 19th January. (please contact Marie-Lou if you are interested in joining a class: parkermarielouise52@gmail.com  or tel: 01544 350380)

Les Turners casual agility classes also from 19th (TBC)

The ground is being rested the first part of January.

It was a close match

Agility GV 69 Worcester 67 a win for GV - placings for GV 2nd Natalie & Nell, 4th Natalie & Ava

Jumping GV 76 Worcester 60 a win for GV - placings for GV 1st Natalie & Ava, 2nd Hayley & Raven, 4th Natalie & Nell

The relay was very close & won by Worcester; overall result GV won the Match 145 to Worcesters 143
